The Gate Centurion shopping centre was in need of a comprehensive rebrand and the implementation of a wayfinding system that did not previously exist. The challenge was to create a modern, distinctive brand identity that would revitalize the shopping centre's image while developing an intuitive wayfinding system that would enhance the visitor experience.
With no existing wayfinding infrastructure in place, the project required a complete system design from scratch that would integrate seamlessly with the new brand identity while providing clear navigation throughout the complex retail environment.
Working in collaboration with Boogertman & Partners, we developed a contemporary brand identity for The Gate Centurion that reflected its position as a modern shopping destination. The new logo design incorporated elements that symbolized the gateway concept while maintaining a clean, sophisticated aesthetic.
For the wayfinding system, we created a comprehensive solution that included directional signage, mall maps, store identifiers and parking indicators. The system utilized a consistent visual language that aligned with the new brand identity, featuring clear typography, intuitive iconography and a strategic color-coding system to facilitate easy navigation throughout the shopping centre.
The proposed design was approved by the client, providing The Gate Centurion with a cohesive brand and wayfinding solution that significantly improved the shopping experience for visitors while strengthening the centre's visual identity in the competitive retail landscape.
