Crest Choice Chicken has been around since 1995 and has been supplying fresh chicken to various grocery chains in South Africa. Recently they have decided to produce their product as a stand alone brand. The brief was to revise the brand and give it a more modern feel as well as creating the relevant labeling for the product to compete on the shelves.

After nearly three decades as a supplier to grocery chains, Crest Choice Chicken needed to transform into a consumer-facing brand with its own distinct identity. The challenge was to modernize the brand while maintaining recognition from its established history and to create packaging that would stand out in the highly competitive retail chicken market. The design needed to communicate quality and freshness while differentiating from competitors.
We developed a bold, contemporary brand identity that retained the recognizable teal color from the original branding but applied it in a more modern and impactful way. The new design features clean typography and a minimalist approach that emphasizes the product's quality and South African heritage. The packaging design was created with shelf impact in mind, using strong color blocking and clear hierarchy to ensure visibility in crowded refrigerator displays.
